Default Megan Racing Springs ??

I have read through a bunch of threads here on CL and I see that a lot of people who use lowering springs use the Tanabe Nf210's. Has anyone used the Megan MR-LS-LG06 springs? I am curious about these springs, the seem to have a better drop than the tanabe's, but I am also curious about the ride quality. Another thing is that both of the website's say that the springs are for RWD cars only, though it seems that others are using the NF210's on their AWD's with no issues. Can anyone give me some insight? Thanks in advance.

Springs will work on both, RWD and AWD.
How much are a drop are you looking for? NF210's are about 1" and Tanabe makes DF210 springs that will lower your car 2".

Have you read up on the vibrations and wobbles after lowering an AWD?!

Not really sure yet. I know I dont like the wheel gap, especially with my AWD. It looks like the Megan springs give a 2" drop in front and a 1.75" in the rear vs a 1.9" and 1.6". Not a huge difference im sure. What is different is the price. The Megan's cost about half what the Tanabe's cost and thats why im curious if anyone has, or had, the Megan's.
I have read about the vibration. Looks like some are worst than others. I also never saw a clear answer if the spacers worked or not.

If you have awd, remember the posted amount of lowering from the manufacturer are for rwd models. AWD GS's are taller than rwd. Therefore, you would have a significant amount of lowering from your factory height.

Thumbs down

not sure if you already bought the springs, but i wouldn't recommend them, i install mine back in 01/2012 and they didnt work at all. the front springs didn't lower the car, and the back ones were to soft and damage my suspension making me having to buy a new rear shock. Just received a 2nd set of front springs from megan in July 2012, to replace the damage ones but they never acknowledge the back ones having issues so till this date im still going back and forward with them.

the 1st set of springs were to long and they had to have them modified to make them shorter. so i feel like i been use as their ginnie pig. i try saving a few bucks trying this springs out and i ended up paying a lot more in labor to have them removed and installed already 3x. just about to give up on megan.

Good luck with that one.

Some people say they have no issues when lowered 1" and others say they do. There is a member with a bagged AWD that says doesn't have vibrations.

I have not bought any springs yet, I was waiting to see if anyone has had them and what their experience with them was. You have answered my question. Thanks! Doesnt look like I will be purchasing them.

Looks like I may just go with the RCA blocks just to close the gap of the front wheels, Its so ugly!
