Default dampers for lowering springs

I've decided I want lowering springs for my 3GS, because since I only intend to keep my 3GS for 3 years, I cannot justify the cost of coilovers. Now, I can't find any matching sport dampers for springs like Tanabe NF210 or Eibachs.

Since it is best practice to replace the dampers with matching ones while switching to lowering springs, my question is: what dampers do you recommend? and where can I get them online?

If there is none available, is it safe to use the stock dampers? Yeah, it should be safe, but what I meant is would it shorten the life of the dampers? And would the suspension bottom out easily with the stock dampers?

Those with Tanabe NF210, please chime in your thoughts and experience.

Thanks!

i don't know of any aftermarket ones. stock is "safe", it will just go out faster (for sure) and you risk bottoming out your car easier. i already know of people bottoming / rubbing coz' the shocks are too soft

1" is not a significant drop. stocks will hold up for a while.

What is a rough estimate for a while, and how much does it cost to replace the shocks? I was going to get Tein CS-T but I think I might settle for Tein S-Tech for now and upgrade later..

i'm not really sure, but i had the tein s-tech on my g35coupe w/out any issues for 4 yrs (33k miles). my friend is currently running the same set up (55k miles), no issues so far.

i rather get coilovers though. you will end up replacing shocks eventually, paying twice for installation. your ride will feel more stable & confident through the turns too. only if they were available for awd..

your best bet would be to contact tokico or bilstein directly and ask them what application will fit your car. although they may not have anything listed in their application guide, they probably would know what shocks made for another car would be able to fit yours. good luck.
