Need to change me driver side cv joint OEM is 900 from Lexus then there’s rock auto, auto zone and advance auto parts. All around 200

however my car is lowered and I’m wondering g which would be the best option for me being lowered on coils and 20” wheels.

 

Hi there. This isn't a job I have done. However I would advise to use OEM parts; these are very well-made and worth the money. You may wish to shop pricing from different dealers using parts.lexus.com. On one occasion I found a good price on parts at Amayama.

Hi. OEM is the route I would go. I have had luck purchasing used CV axles off eBay. Junk yards will list the mileage on the vehicle so you could choose a set with lower miles. I would suggest looking for a set with low mileage from a part of the country where it snows. They will be rusted and look like **** but will be super cheap because of this. You could then buy the boot kits from Lexus parts online which come with the boots, bands, clips and grease. Tear down the used axles, sand off any rust, hit them with a little black spray paint and rebuild using the kit mentioned above. Definitely use the Lexus/Toyota boot kit. The grease LexusToyota uses is very high quality. I’ve rebuilt a Toyota axle and the kit came with grease by GKN. This was for a Toyota Sienna but the grease they use is a racing grease that costs $90 for tube!! The kit comes with just enough for one joint so your not getting a whole tubes worth but it’s around $60 for a rebuild kit per axle.
