Suspension help here!!
What’s up guys?! So I’m in the middle of hunting for a way to lower my car not sure if I should go with lowering springs or coilovers? So my question is I have a 2014 is awd what’s the difference between suspensions I’ve found lowering springs but coilovers are so hard for awd my question is can I use rwd coils on awd or no?
It all come down to your budget i would say. If your car has high mileage i would go coilover if you can. No you cant use RWD on AWD different setup up front because it AWD. You can either go with RSR coilover or BC racing at a lower price. I myself prefer coilover on AWD cause of the rack look when the front sit higher than the rear end. With coilover your able to even it out.
It may not be ideal, but I suggest you hold out on a good set of coilovers. I've had springs before, not on my 3IS, but previous cars and knowing myself, I will always find a way to convince myself to want to go lower or get bored. With coilovers, even though more expensive than springs, you have the capability to drop your ride height in the future without making the ride quality suffer REALLY badly in comparison to OEM shocks.
It depends on your budget, but there are a ton of brands that offer a pretty competitive set at a nice price. TEIN seems to be the go-to for most people that want coilovers, but don't want to spend so much money, but still get a damn great reliable product.
