Default Calipher plus abs

HI Guys
hope u guys are safe.

Last week while travelling on M4 -Sydney , all of a sudden I lost brake pressure and somehow managed to tow it to nearest NRMA MECHANIC. After Inspection the mechanic found out following problems.
1. Rear Brake Pad missing.
2. Brake oil Leak.
3. Calipher needs replacement ( both rear wheels ).
4. Trouble with ABS , May need replacement.

They gave me a tentative quote of $ 5500 + or - $500.

they suggest me being 2006 model, its not worth to replace and scrap it.
I am emotionally attached to my car , dont want to send it to scrap. ( after all somehow I stopped the car on highway & i survived .)

please suggest me is the charge reasonable , or i should get a second opinion.
appreciate your response.

Sounds rough. How did a brake pad go missing? When is the last time the pads were changed? Maybe the tech didn't you the retaining clips correctly.

ABS light on due to maybe lost all brake fluid?

Where is the brake fluid leak at? It's not good to leave the system dry.

Rear brake calipers can be had for cheap. Remanufacutured from RockAuto.com.
