So I am a new member. Normally I just lerk the posts and grab what I need but look to embark on a serious journey and figured I should get some input before I bite off more than I can chew. Plus wisdom is best learned when not on a dollar per lesson basis so.....
So I would like to do a top down on my suspension. Im thinking Tien Coil overs to pair with the EFI system. Also was wondering about the othe suspension parts I see alot of megan racing for uppers and lowers how do these compare to other options (ie. MoOg or Moderva or whatever it is) out there ? Does the price difference correlate to the durability or performance or just paying for the brand ? I want to do sway bar and links was looking at Megan racing bit I heard TRD is better... I want to find some decent Tie rods as well. Was thinging poly bushings too was going to go with Moog but have heard they are not as good ?
Like I said any input would be appreciated I probably will not start this endeavor till after christmas but gonna start saving and planning and acquiring parts.

 

Check out RockAuto for the normal replacement parts. Mevotech is becoming my brand of choice these days (from the available brands on RockAuto) for their price/quality compared to overpriced Moog parts that have fallen off in quality IMO. Besides that, the performance parts come down to your brand preference and what you can find. TRD parts aren't made for these cars anymore and you will have to keep your eyes out until they pop up for sale used on ebay, craigslist, offerup, etc. Megan is a decent intermediate brand for hard parts. IE: strut bars, sway bars, arms, etc. But for the intricate items, like coilovers, Tein and the like are a good choice. Something name brand.
