Best Solution?
I would torque them to spec, they are critical suspension components. Sasnuke posted the specs here:

Finally got around to the swap this morning. Super easy - thanks to all here for inspiring confidence to get it done. I don't drive the car often so it's hard for me to judge handling improvement but of course my ultimate goal is to stop shredding the tires.
I do have a rattle or I suppose more of a "knock" when hitting particularly bumpy roads coming from the front left wheel area now. I pulled the tire back off and double checked that everything was tight and found nothing to be wrong. Only thing I can think of is possible damage to the shock absorber? I took some pressure off the control arm by jacking where the absorber mounts to the arm - maybe I over extended it in some way but it still seems pretty solid when pushing down on the front corner of the car.
Thoughts? Anyone had this issue after a swap?

If you jacked it up on the control arm, then it shouldn't be an issue at all...the control arm is pretty strong.
I would recheck the bolts to make sure they are all tight...it's not many.
Could it just be coincidence...realistically the bolts secure non-moving parts, so once everything is tight, then that should be that.
