Quick question:

Could anybody provide me with the part numbers for a set of front and rear OEM F-Sport pads, compatible with the AWD model? 2015 IS250 F-Sport AWD

Would the ASP1118 be compatible with a 2015 IS250?

Do you have the 4 piston calipers in the front? If so then yes they will fit.

So basically with Akebono, you choose between the ACT1118 and ASP1118. ASP have better braking but last shorter than ACT. They seems to be priced the same too.

How about that ACT817 that Aleksei mention?

ACT1118 and ACT817 are for different models

ACT817 is for 2014/2015 is250 f AWD only

ACT1118 the rest

I have the small calipers, not sure if 4 piston. Thought they all were. When I look up compatibility with my vehicle it gives me ASP908.

I put on the ASPs a few days ago. I went through my F-Sport pads in 10k miles and have over 50k miles using the FSport pads with plenty of canyon runs. On initial morning drives before the brakes heat up, there is less initial bite but after a couple stops, I can't tell the difference between the ASP and OEM. The ASPs are very good pads so don't be afraid to use them. I hear the only downside to ceramics is that it eats rotors faster than the semi metallics.

quick google search indicates the opposite, ceramics cause less damage to rotors

MAYBE just maybe a little difference in bite which I thought was going to be much worse in the bite dept, but honestly not much of a difference there either. I haven’t tested them with braking hard yet so I will update again after I go on a rampage

Can you give me an update about your experience with the Akebono Pro-Actbrake pads? Did you install both front and rear? My wife just got a 2018 IS 350 F sport in white and the brakes, especially the front generate tons of brake dust. I had the same problem with my 2017 RCF, but Lexus changed mine to ceramic due to the excessive squealing. I’m happy with them and don’t notice any drop in performance as well...although I do not track my car.

Do you know if Lexus has any such TSB covering the 2018 IS 350 F sport? I looked online but couldn’t find anything. I just wanted to check before ordering the Akebono pads.

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

There is no TSB. I am using the ASP not the ACT. Totally worth it, no more ridiculous brake dust. The performance isn’t much different. Just the initial bite is a little worse.

Honestly, I don't notice any difference between the ASP and F Sport pads once the pads warm up after a couple stops in the morning. Really nice pads.

Thanks for the info. Is the ASP the Performance, or Pro-Act set? Also, did you replace both front and rear or just the front? The dust on the factory rear pads isn’t so bad.

thanks again.
