I put on the ASPs a few days ago. I went through my F-Sport pads in 10k miles and have over 50k miles using the FSport pads with plenty of canyon runs. On initial morning drives before the brakes heat up, there is less initial bite but after a couple stops, I can't tell the difference between the ASP and OEM. The ASPs are very good pads so don't be afraid to use them. I hear the only downside to ceramics is that it eats rotors faster than the semi metallics.

Alright guys, I installed the Akebono ASP 1118’s today. I must say I feel NO difference going from the stock high dust pads to these. I only drove like 10 miles on them, but I don’t feel a difference. MAYBE just maybe a little difference in bite which I thought was going to be much worse in the bite dept, but honestly not much of a difference there either. I haven’t tested them with braking hard yet so I will update again after I go on a rampage
Can you give me an update about your experience with the Akebono Pro-Actbrake pads? Did you install both front and rear? My wife just got a 2018 IS 350 F sport in white and the brakes, especially the front generate tons of brake dust. I had the same problem with my 2017 RCF, but Lexus changed mine to ceramic due to the excessive squealing. I’m happy with them and don’t notice any drop in performance as well...although I do not track my car.
Do you know if Lexus has any such TSB covering the 2018 IS 350 F sport? I looked online but couldn’t find anything. I just wanted to check before ordering the Akebono pads.
Thanks for any advice you can offer.
