Thanks for the info in this thread, I ordered the Akebono ASPs for the front and ACTs for the rear of my 2014 IS350 AWD. While changing over to my summer wheels/tires last weekend, I saw my front pads were getting low, and I had a leaking rear shock (so since I need to take the wheels off again to change the rear shocks, might as well change the rear pads as well).
I was already sold on the Akebonos, as I had put them on my Jaguar to solve the horrible dusting problem (way more than my IS generates), and had then put them on my old ES300 as well. Never had an issue with either one, so I expect they’ll perform well here too.

Hi,
I've gone through this thread and it looks like for the front pads, ACT817 is recommended. I have a 2014 IS250 AWD (non f-sport). Will these ACT817 pads fit the non- F-sport AWD models as well? Should I buy the ACT817B with new hardware as well or is this unnecessary?
As for the front rotors, I plan on getting the Centric 120.44125. Can someone please confirm if this is indeed the right part number.
Thanks a lot.

Just installed the Akebono ASP1118 for the front. Bite-wise, I really can't feel any difference between them and OEM. But boy, these are really silent and no brake dust is superb! I replaced the OEM rotors with OEM as well as I like the original rotors' stopping power. Hoping that with these Akebonos, the rotors will last longer. For my installation, the ASP1118 already came with one set of shim each and the original pads had two additional shims. I used back one piece to add on to the ASP1118 and kept the other one for future, just in case. All seems to work well, the new pads caused the brake fluid to rise slightly above the max line though but I'm too lazy to remove that little bit.
