Default Engine storage

Hey guys I was hoping to get some advice/opinions about storing my engine over winter. I live in upstate ny and have a garage that’s not heated. I’m pulling my 2jzgte out to freshen it up and swap it into another SC.
My question is: will it be safe for the engine to sit in the garage through the winter with no antifreeze? Will the water jackets rust? My plan was to drain the coolant, add toyota red, run it, then drain it the best I can. Is this a good idea or not lol. Thanks

Dion

Winter is over but if you're just storing it, you'll be fine.
