Default Old member needs help with tire size for 20s! (pics attached)

Hey guys. Just to give you a brief background, I was a Lexus owner for several years. Started with an IS250 AWD back in 07, changed it a few years later for an 07 RWD manual IS250 that was very nicely modified and was the love of my life! (see pics) Unfortunately I thought I had outgrown that phase and I sold it about 2 years ago in favor of an SUV. I have missed it every day since. Now as of just 5 days ago, I'm back!! This time, with a more sensible IS350 AWD F-Sport in Atomic Silver (see pic). I have much fewer plans for this one, since unlike my last IS, it is my daily driver. But that's not to say I don't intend on making a few customizations My plan is wheels and suspension, and maybe an exhaust.
On to the matter at hand.
I currently have a set of Vossen CV3 20x9 et38 which I was using on my last FX35. They have the machined face and black inner wheel. Absolutely gorgeous wheels. (see pic)
Needless to say, I would love to be able to rock these on my IS in the summer. I have noticed that there aren't a ton of members on 20'' wheels and it has been hard to find the info I need. After looking into various spring options, I think my best bet (considering I will be winter driving the car) is RSR Down springs. I wish the rear would drop a little less, but options are limited.
So my question to all of you is the following: What tire size(s) should I be looking for? I don't want to rub!! (a tad bit of rubbing with several passengers is acceptable)
Thank you so much in advance for your help I'm happy to be back!

Most guys with 20's go with 225-30 and 255-30. RSR half downs might keep you from rubbing but they don't make them for AWD. You'll probably get away from rubbing with no passengers in the back

You might get away with 235/30/20, but I'd bet 225/35/20 is what you need up front. I seen people saying 20x9 +40mm are too close to the suspension or possibly rub which may require you to run spacers up front.

When I'm ready for wheels I'm gonna run a 9 inch wide wheel with +35mm offset up front.

Thanks for the tips! Does anyone have first hand experience?
I don't see how else I can possibly know for sure without actually buying tires and test fitting. That seems like an expensive trial and error game... lol

Thank you very much for the reassurance! btw all really nice wheels!!
Do you know if I'd get away with a slightly higher sidewall tire?
For example 225/40/20 and 255/35/20 (it's AWD)
Or 225/35/20 and 255/30/20

You can get away with the 225/35/20 in the front with the RSR Down Springs because there is a decent amount of room in the front but the rear is very tough. I can run a 235/30/20 tire in the front without issues but the 255/30/20 is the highest I can go in the rear without rubbing I believe.

What is the ideal offset for the front for a 225/35/20 on a 20x9 wheel with RSR Downs? I don't want to run camber outside of factory spec to make it work.

Are your tires Stretched any using 225/30 on 9 wide and 255/30 on a 10 wide?

Sorry I meant, 225/35-20 on a 9 wide, and 255/30-20 on a 10.. Does these sizes Stretch any on your wheels?
