Metal Ticking/Clicking Sound from rear
Dear fellow CL members,
I hope this question wouldn't come across as silly as I tried to search the forum for an answer but I'm getting alot of different possible causes for the sound. I'm driving a IS250.
The sound doesnt appear initially after start-up and driving (parking overnight or for more than 2hrs; presumably cooled down). Only when I've already hit the roads for a certain amount of time (assuming that it starts to run hot), a few ticking/clicking sound comes on from the rear when I move off after coming to a stop. The clicking occurs more when I'm doing a reverse from a stop. When the car is in constant motion, no sound and everything runs smoothly as per normal.
I've checked the possible causes such as the ball-joint, bushing, axle etc but most of it looks absolutely fine. Could it be the hub-bearing? The sound is definitely from the rear.
The sound is annoying the hell out of me and I've been driving with this issue for about 2 months and have yet to find a solution for it.
I would appreciate if anyone could relate a similar situation to me and share them with me.
Thanks in advance.
