Which rear calipers with LS400 front?
Hey, what is a good rear caliper to pair with the LS400 front BBK upgrade, can you use the LS400 rears as well? or is the Supra or some other caliper a good match for it? dont want to keep stock rears if I can help it but want even braking

I got a deal on some low mile tt supra rear brakes hps pads and slotted rotors going to put them on to better match my front ls400. With stock sc300 rears you can feel the front is doing more of the work.

It's more of the front brakes than the rear. Also, it does match up better than having stock rears.

I ran stock rear with the ls400 fronts for a while, just went up to the tt rears and it is big difference, the front does not dive any more, now the car brakes very even and more under control, great setup

Now alternatively (and with no direct experience I cannot prove how much difference this would make vs TT rear calipers) if someone has a 1992-1997 SC300 and did an LS400 front brake upgrade it might be possible to reduce the front bias a bit by swapping to 1992-2000 SC400 (aka 1998-2000 SC300 and 1993-1998 Supra Non-Turbo) rear brakes and calipers. If someone begins with an SC400 and upgrades to LS400 front calipers this would already come stock in the rear.
Point being, 1992-1997 SC300's have smaller brakes all around compared to SC400's-- not just in the front but also in the rear. But anything is better than the stock 92-97 SC300 front brakes for sure since they are SMALLER in the front than in the rear from the factory. So stupid.
Still, TT rear calipers with LS400 fronts (or TT fronts) are the way to go if you can get them.

I eventually bought supra TT rears, and I thought it was interesting that the supra TT rear rotor was slightly larger than my LS400 front rotor. I decided to hold off on installing them until I got supra tt fronts.

So do we have any rear 2-piston alternatives other than Supra TT calipers?
I did Supra TT fronts with Hawk HP and can definitely notice the bias. I know it would feel more balanced with a rear brake upgrade even though I did SS lines and Hawk HPS pads out back. Braking has improved tremendously overall though, so not complaining.
There's a set of used TT calipers for $385 locally I can buy right now - fair price?
