2GS300/Aristo 98' master cylinder swap form sc430 issues
Hello,
As the title states I'm doing a master cylinder swap, getting the donor master cylinder from a 2002 sc430 into my 98 Toyota aristo.
Sc430 is left hand drive
Aristo right hand
Differences, abs plug changes from horizontal pins to a triangle shape. Both 30mm (super tight)
Banjo bolts for the side brake lines had to be taken off and routed directly to master cylinder.
Everything else is plug and play so far..
Read the guide off of clublexus to bleed, but my problem now is that my side lines that I had to remove the banjo bolts to route the lines directly to are having a steady but slow drip once I start to bleed/pump the brakes.
the lines on the side of the master cylinder (notice how the nut is flush against)
The hardlines in the front fit differently as pictures show as they still have some thread sticking out, as I've read up that this shouldn't be a problem.
the lines from the front of the master cylinder, doesn't sit flush but doesn't leak either
On the sides the bolt I've tightened up but it is snug up against the master cylinder. Maybe there's not enough thread depth to keep it from leaking? Anyone else encounter a problem like this? Just wanted to ask before I strip the bolt/master cylinder if anything
Realized that left hand drive the hard lines go up than down into the banjo bolts but for right hand drive it seems like directly to the master cylinder?
the banjo bolts from the lines on the side of the master cylinder
Any help would be appreciated!!! Thanks for reading
sorry pictures are a little big
