Installed Mega coils, but loud thud sound in rear. Pics
I installed my coils and they are great. The only issue I have is on certain bumps in the road I hear a loud thud in the driver rear. Dips in the road it wont do it, but if you drive over a ridge in the road or crossing uneven street it will, like rail road tracks. Something must be wrong because I tried to raise the rear and its maxed out on drivers side. I cant raise the passenger side another 1.5 inches if I wanted, but the driver side rear is all the way up. The drivers side maxed measures 26 inches from ground to wheel well and I cant go any higher. I made the passenger side the same, but I can definitely go 1.5 inches higher on that side. Any thoughts? Worn bushing somewhere making it lower on that side?
To me the car dosent seem "slammed" like some, or it is really low and my control arms are hitting the chassis. If that is the case why wont the Megans go any higher on that side.

One thing I did notice when I was adjusting the coils up is that the threaded sleeve was moving some as I turned the adjustment nut up. I had to hold the sleeve some to keep it from turning with the nut.

You should have 3 nuts on the height adjustment. The bottom one is the only one to touch for ride height adjustment. The top 2 nuts are for pretension on the spring. After some driving the spring may settle that means the pretension on the spring is no longer correct. in the spring has settled it will bounce and cause a knock or thump when the shock goes to full extension.
