Default RSR vs Tein

Hey guys. I've decided to lower my car and was contemplating the RSR Down springs and the Tein S Tech springs.

I've heard the RSR Down springs offer a great ride. Do the Tein S Tech springs also offer a comfortable ride?

Also, the RSR Down springs are about $100 more. Does anyone know why?

Please help me out as I want to pull the trigger but I can not make up my mind.

That clearly wasn't my concern or my question. If you have nothing smart to say, then do not say anything.

I think he just gave you great advice. Oh well, do you.

I think the main reason that RSR cost more is that they are not more well known of a product vs Tein which is very popular (I have. I've heard good things about the RSR springs but they are stiffer than stock, as they said. These products seem to be high quality, can't go wrong with either one but the only that would differ them would be the ride height, I'm assuming.

Just saying that down springs are great and all, but your ride quality will suffer regardless of what brand you choose. A majority of people on the forums have the RSR down springs and state the ride quality is similar to stock. They say that on a smooth road, the down springs are a great ride. However, when on a rough road, they say that the ride is very harsh. I don't want to speak for other people but that's just what I've read on the forums.

No type of down spring will keep your ride as smooth or as comfortable as stock for daily driving. A whole suspension set up will keep you close to stock and maybe a bit stiffer. I have the RSR Sport Coils and the ride is much better then stock. More comfortable for daily driving and stiffer for aggressive driving. That is why I said to save your money. Down springs are going to ruin your shocks over times. Coilovers will not.

Think about it.

Also depends on how long you are going to keep the car? Coilovers are a more long-term purchase

I got the Tein S-techs and like them. Feels very comfortable. Never rode in a car with RSR springs.

I have RSR Down Springs and they ride almost identical to stock. Very smooth ride. I say go with those.

Whats up with all the anger. I think he gave you a legitimate advise.

Tein are pretty soft so the ride is cushy but can get a little bouncy.

I had tried tein h-tech on a 3IS and it rides great almost like stock feel the bouncyness of the soft springs can be solved by going to sport + mode to stiffen the AVS or if your on standard IS350 after market shocks are a good option

I have the RSR Down Springs on my 2014 IS350 F-Sport AWD for several months. Ride is very close to stock, the ride is never harsh, the springs do not have an aggressive spring rate. I'd recommend it. Just my 2 cents

just received my RSR Down Springs the other day. I've also heard that the ride quality is close to stock (which what is what i was going for). so hopefully they perform as what everybody reviewed!

Got mine in last week also, I reckon it's a bit firmer but still rides nice.
