but personally i feel like those rates would be perfect on the 2IS. because i have the standard BC coilovers and 10k/8k is far too soft for a 3600lbs car. as low as i am i rub on hard enough dips with as low as i am. next go round i will be gettting the 16k/12k setup and slam out
I would agree. My roads are terrible and a 12/10 rate felt cushy like stock. With my car low I still bottomed out frequently in the front and wanted a stiffer spring rate. I wouldn't even consider a 10/8.

12/10 would be my choice for a 1 finger gap drop. I wouldn't look at anything lower than 14/10, 14/12 or 16/12 if you slam your car and still expect a good ride with good handling.

I have BC's with 16k/12k. My wheel gap in the front is no finger gap and in the rear the fender is basically sitting on the tire. I have very little rubbing issues all around and can still have fun in the canyons with my friends (all 4 fenders are rolled and pulled). If you're around 0-1/2 finger gap, you should be fine with 14/12. 10/8 was horrible for the height I am at now. Hope this helps

Ya that definitely helped. Sorry to revive this thread but I finally picked them up. Hopefully I can be slammed without rubbing using 14k/12k

How can I figure out the right damper setup up for me. Do I just have to take a ride and change it at the end of the day until it's what I like? Seems like a big hassle. Wondering if there's any settings you guys are comfortable with

It's not a hassle at all. Just drive around and see how you like it. I personally prefer a harsh ride so I set the dampening at about 8 clicks from stiffest up front and 12 from stiffest in the rear. It'll take you a day or two to figure out what you like the best

This thread is interesting as I am experiencing similar issues.

I just don't understand how you guys can drive really low on 10k fronts. I don't have a real front lip or side skirts and my bumper rubs all the damn time. My tires are tucked but the fender is not even close to the wheel. When I go over speed bumps, my sides hit the bump. I am maxed on 10k fronts on Megan EZs. I am definitely going 12 or 14k for my next setup.

Ya so I got the coilovers on. I'm running 10 clicks from stiff I front and 12 clicks from stiff in the the rear. Feels pretty comfy to me. Definitely happy with the 14k/12k purchase. Only rubbed once on a hard dip and I was driving fast over it hahaha
