Default rear subframe collars?

so i threw mine on and i got more rear end noise (pause) than i'd like. also the drive shaft angle seems to have changed too much and i had a slight whine through that section of the drive train.

anyone else had that?

i didint want to ruin it so i took the collars off and the noises are gone. im was thinking i could just run the lower collars. but then i decided im just going to fill it with urethane to keep the rear end a tad tighter.

Did you get the Megan collars? I've been wondering about these but didn't think it'll change it that much to the point where the drivetrain is whining (hopefully it's not binding).

(not sure why link isn't working...)

Have you looked at Spoon's (yes, that spoon) new product called rigid collar? I think it's a smart idea... it's a thin (relatively) soft metal that forms into the crevis between the mounting point of the subframe. It's hard to explain so might be easier to understand with a video.

And here for online shopping... not sure how to get these to the states though.

The spoon pieces are a different item, those would go in the front subframe, they are supposed to take up the slack in the holes where the bolts go.

I do have the Megan collars in my 2GS and YES I have the noise, I was thinking it was due to the Diff and the urethane pinion bushings but I am going to pull the collars out and see.

I originally wanted the collars to try and get rid of the wheel hop but now I think the wheel hop is due to the worn knuckle bushings.

After I changed the knuckle bushings, my wheel hop is almost gone so I will take them out and see if the diff noise is gone.
