blue- The Rmm will fit your 98 . I have it , so i know it fits! The Tom's brace only comes in their signature color. If you wanted chrome , you could go to a shop to have it painted to your liking.

Question 1niceride - How do you like your Rmm strut?

Just to clarify, do you have it on a GS300 or GS4? It seems more folks are installing them on a GS4. Is there real benifit for GS300 owner to install the Rmm strut? I found another discussion about Rmm and it was positive. I'm curious if adding this before some 18" rims and tires, would I notice a difference? Thanks...... Rocklings

Default rmm brace for a gs300

i'm installing the rmm strut brace more for appearance than for handling. i'm sure i'll feel a diff. in how how it handles but i'm not much of a high speed fanatic , i just like cruising, but want the enging to look sweet.

If you are going for appearance then RMM is a good choice. The Tom's is rather industrial with regards to looks.
