Well after further review the stopping power has increased. The inital bite is noticeable. The noise is about the same. Just a little rumble. Its going to look great when I put my 20"s on this summer. Oh one more thing...my man said he doesnt know if you can cut crossed drilled/slotted rotors. You know, when its time to put new pads on.

Aftermarket rotors look so good with aftermarket wheels.

cross drilled will give you better braking because they let the gases released from the pad flow through the holes and out the vents, on a blank rotor the gases form a layer (like water on a wet road) that keeps the pad from being able to grip the rotor. This increases brake power and any point after initial contact, esspecially when the system is very hot.

slotted rotors will bite into the rotor causing it to grip but will run at higher temps and wear the pad faster. They are good for winter use or racing when pad life is not important...

finally a looked over part of brake upgrade is the fluid, if you guys try the motul 5.1 fluid im sure you will be suprised. I was initially worried that dot 5 + would be dangerous to the system but motul is a 100% synthetic not from a silicon base. It is NOT purple like most dot 5.. well anyways its safe, and has much higher boiling points...

This set up is working very well. I have a lot more confidence in my cars stopping ability.

Stopping power comes from bigger rotors, more powerful calipers, and most of all, stickier/bigger tires.
-I would have to say that brake fade is more than "slightly" decreased with the drilled/slotted rotors. There is a definite improvement over stock!

Default Anybody have problems with warped rotors?

Any of you guys encontered warping of the RT rotors?

I have the RT Cross-drileed Supra rotors for about 10K miles and I have already encountered warping. Anybody else have this experience? Thanks.

I had the same problem. They warped after 3 months after installation for about 5k miles. I switched to RMM CD rotors and now they were warped too after 10k miles. I think SupraTT calipers just put too much heat on rotors

I'm glad someone else has the same warping probs. Did you get them turned or just replaced?

Since they are so "new", I'll have them turned and give them another try before I order my next set.
