Default Spring rates on Megan LP...

I planned to get some Megan LP series coils, but upon inspection the front springs all said "62-200-010"

The rears said 62-220-008

My understanding is ths is a 10k-8k setup.

Can anyone confirm for a fact that Megan LP does have 12k front spring rates? Any pictures or direct knowledge of what the front spring spec is labeled would be helpful. I'm concerned that all LP is actually ally 10k-8k and not 12k-8k as advertised

could just be part numbers that dont correlate to actual spring rates

according to megans website,
http://www.meganracingperformance.co...-p-448517.html
the image shown for is350 coilovers also says 010 and 008

call megan directly

I've always read that the Megan EZs come with 10k/8k and the LPs come with 12k/8k.

I e-mailed Megan support.

They confirmed my suspicions. 12k front rates are a typo in their specs, and with every vendor that sells them! It is a 10k-8k setup just like the EZ.

Don't believe all the data unless you check it out yourself...

Cheers all!

From Megan,

Greetings,

You have the correct spring (62-220-10) It was merely a typo on our website.

Thank you and have a great day!

WOW is right! So you pay more for the LP model just for the additional damper settings I guess.

thats awesome of you that you found that error though.
i think my next question mightve been "what are you doing to correct the problem (typo)?"
if they know about it and arent fixing it thats even more ****ed up.

go out and spread your knowledge with the world!

62-200-010 = 62 mm. Internal diameter, 200 mm. total spring length, 10Kg/mm. spring rate

62-220-008 = 62 mm. Internal diameter, 220 mm. total spring length, 8 Kg/mm spring rate

Wow WTF!!! Myself as well as many other members here with Megan LP's should send Megan letters complaining. The only reason why I got the LP's instead is because of the "higher" spring rate in the front... speechless right now

I'm going to attempt continuing dialog with them and see how they respond. The attitude I'm getting so far seems to be that they really don't understand how critical this "typo" is to a tuner community that appreciates details such as what spring rates are on their vehicles.

Yeah I will call them tomorrow and complain. If anything, I can just go down there in person and talk to someone

Ok so I spoke to several people from Megan over the phone and let me tell you... I will never buy another product from Megan because they are very rude towards their customers. I was able to confirm that the spring rates for the LP's are the same as the EZ's- 10/8. I did not spend an extra $200 just to have twice the dampening.. I think I will sell my LP's and get BC's with custom rates once I have more cash. I just wanted to share my experience with you guys
