Default BC Coils / Figs Bushing question

BC Coils: Clunk noise after initial install. (no preload set. Installed out of box)

I finally took the time to install the coils today. Painless process minus some rusty bolts. Heres a few shots of the drop. I have not measured fender to floor height as im waiting on my wheels to arrive on Wednesday. On a side note My sunroof now rattles and its driving me insane. Anyone experience such a phenomenon ? Im assuming its due to the stiffer ride.

FIGS Bushing: Shop was unable to install it....

They told me the metal surrounding the figs bushing was too thin. They tried to press out the stock ones but the part they were using to press it out would keep getting stuck in it. As of now im back to stock bushing but there is oil/liquid leaking out of the passenger bushing ???? I was unaware of these bushing being filled with any kind of liquid. If someone could chime in that would be great !

And people wonder why there are odd noises coming from their suspension. Set the preload properly, and you should be good. Installing right out of the box will not be 100% setup perfect for your car.

Preload setup note : Once the spring is tight up against the top mount, tighten the lower spring perch the width of the two supplied BC spaner wrenches.

Now about the bushing...check out this thread : https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...0-duro-hp.html

GL!

i expected the noise . that why i made sure to notify that i haven't set the preload. i will also make sure the top nut is tight where the damper settings are.

as for the ride height, its perfect for stock wheel/tires. Once the 19's get in i know ill have to roll my fender and figure out the bumper tab situation. ughh ! im not looking forward to it.

ive been eye'ing that thread witht he figs install. lets see if chicken can chime in.

update:

So i finally got around to setting the preload and tighting the dampening bolt and adjusting the ride height.

NO more sounds at all. I raised it half an inch instead of tucking in the rear, stiffened the rear dampening and change the front to a bit more soft setting. Feels nice now and corners good.

No more clunking rattling FTW

Very good! Now if we could only get the others with similar noises to fix the issue with this simple procedure.

Report back if you ever start hearing it again though.

BTW, to get the rear end to hook better you'll want a lower stiffness setting. I DD with a 15 front/8 rear setting on my 12/8k springs.

12/10 springs and my rear hooks nicely. plus the car rides stock. took me all day to fine tune it to where its not bouncy and i dont eat every little bump on the road. it now rides amazing and i still have the lowered look. just waiting to throw the 19's on now.
