Anyone install the Moog or generic ball joints yet?

 

Just want to thank you again for the tips on the tools it made the job much easier to do.Took me awhile to figure out how to use the the ball joint press but after i did one the second arm was easier to work on.

I ended up using the oem replacement and so far this morning it fixed my issue. i will hang on to the spc joints just to make sure these ball joints dont leave me stranded. lol

For anyone who wants to just replace the ball upper ball joint and does not want to go the spc route. I used these

^Well that's good to hear! Did the contour of the upper portion of the ball joint match that of the OEM unit?

 

^^^ Yes it did , the only difference from the Oem joint was the locking bolt and the clip. Besides that they measured the same.

 

^Great! Now if we can get the other OE replacement manufacturers onboard with making these!

 

^^^ I was going to purchase the Moog upper ball joints but what made me look the other way was the awd only application info. Unless someone can validate that the awd control arm is the same as the rwd model I would assume it would fit as well.

 

NP, yeah once you figure out one side, its waaaay easier next time around. if you decide to use your SPC reminder you will have to grind the end of the arm because the spc will hit the edge and not camber out
