Default Tokico Blue HP Shocks + Tein H Tech Springs

Here's my take on IS250 conversion from OEM to...

Tokico Blue HP Shocks

Tein H Tech Springs

Install in a few days, will provide feedback then

After

Thoughts

Comfort
- Ride is much firmer now in comparison.
- suspension has much less bounce / cloud factor

Performance
- car is a lot more flat in corners
- car feels more sporty in handling and confidence inspiring.

Cosmetics
- looks the way it should have from factory

Overall thoughts
- nice to have a true sports sedan now

Suggestions
- if you want better handling and performance without too much loss of comfort this is for you.
- if you just want lowering, get the springs alone
- if you cant live without the comfort, dont touch anything

Thanks for reading

At that point, why wouldn't you just go coils?

Coils were more expensive.
Plus I did a lot of research & specifically wanted these 2 parts as they have good reviews

Bought them both separately, total of $1000 shipped

Umm.. a pair of Megan EZs will run you $680. Even the Megan LPs are only $875.. and even a good set of Teins are under $1000.

All good.. to each their own.. just.. not understanding the logic. I would hate to spend as much money as I would on a good set of coils just to have inferior ride quality and be locked at a only a .9"/front and .3"/rear drop..

Neither of those are $1000 shipped to australia

Megans are not reviewed well,
Most people recommend BC Racing which was around $1400 shipped

Ride quality with this combination is very close to stock,
Performance is improved.

H tech springs offer exactly the amount of lowering i want, and maintain comfort beyond even the FSport.

So as per earlier, ive done my homework

Hey.. if you're happy, that's all that counts

Didn't catch that you were all the way down under, either. That's got to put a damper on the shipping charges..

Yeah mate, shipping is expensive
Nothing aftermarket retains stock comfort

But Tokico blue shocks are highly reviewed all over as maintaing similar comfort, better performance, same with h tech springs

il provide in depth review after install

I wondering how Tokico Blue HP performs in comparison to the OEM Sport suspension.

When I asked Tokico about the OEM sport Suspension, they didn't know the spec, even thou it is made by their company even thou it is customized to Lexus specs. However, based on the the rep said, he suspects it maybe a bit stiffer if not similar to that of the OEM Sport suspension.

Tokico offer 2 shock models for is250 i believe

I bought the blue,
which are designed as a replacement for oem.

Similar comfort, slighlty better performance

At mechanics now, installation almost done

Yes, the HP is replacement of the OEM Sport Suspension. I couldn't quite the say the same for the OEM Suspension.

OP already indicated he's in Australia and BC would be at least, $1,400 shipped there.

Further update.

Little bumpier than stock but the lowered look and sportiness is adds to the look and performance
