Wheel Clearance for IS250 brakes vs IS350 brakes
I'm thinking about getting IS350 brakes for my car, but the biggest problem i might run into is my wheels clearing the IS350 brakes.
Does anyone have any info on this? The difference in wheel clearance for IS250 brakes vs IS350 brakes?

IS250 brakes will clear 16" wheels
IS350 brakes will clear 17" wheels
The main concern with the IS350 brakes is how wide the caliper is, so there needs to be enough room behind the spokes of the wheels. Unfortunately this isn't really a "spec" given for most wheels, though I haven't seen too many people with issues as far as this goes.

IS350 huge mono-block brake mod for my aftermarket wheels
I acquired low-cost set of faux ISF wheels from ebay.
Although the folks that make these faux wheels know enough about our cars (anything that's highly suseptable to souping up), they had added a few mm's of offset than the usual stock IS350 staggered wheels.
They cleared the IS350's massive brakes by about 1mm..maybe 2mm...not enough for me...
The front wheel wells do not lend themselves to spacers or further wheel offsets...
So, out came the grinder, because I saw that where the wheel came closest to the brake was at the chamfer of the mono-block brake outer edge surface.
The brakes were painted red by prior owner, I prefered 'blue' and painted them such after I took my $15 HarborFrieght grinder w/ grinding wheel and then sanding pad to make the chamfer a much larger radius.
You can see where I performed the grinding (red color is removed from that edge).
(btw, I'm an old mech engr w/ collegiate formula sae racing exp'...so I barely know what I'm doing)
Now the clearance is at least 15mm.
