Default H&R springs + Chamber Kit?

So I have plans to lower my IS250 (RWD) with H&R springs. When calling around for prices for install I had someone tell me that I would need a Chamber kit. To all those who have the springs, did you need a chamber kit? Or is this shop trying to upsell me? I assume an alignment is needed but a chamber kit? For a 1.4'' drop?

No you don't need a camber kit, unless you want to bring the alignment back to factory specs. All you really need is to find a good alignment shop.

So with the lowering and alignment, it wont be 'factory spec' aligned, but aligned enough so the tires don't wear weird and wear out too fast right?

Yes that's correct. With the H&R the alignment would only be slightly out of factory specs so it's really not a big deal. Just find a good alignment shop to do it and you'll be good.

Yup Im running H&Rs without camber kit. Just tell them to make the toe close to zero as possible and you should be fine.

You don't need a camber kit.

Where in CA are you?

I thought you were in SoCal. There is a CL vendor who has package deal for springs + installation for only $399. They are located in West Hollywood.
