Question HKS Hipermax LS vs. Tein CS?

Hi guys,

I havea 98 GS300 on L-Tuned 18" wheels and suspension.

For those who know, what are the pros and cons on these coilovers? I am looking to reduce wheel gap on my car. I am also looking at these "softer" suspension since I have/will be putting more suspension parts on then originally expected. I'd like to balance out these braces/sways/... with a bit softer coilovers. The L-tuned are relatively soft but again, I am looking at reducing the wheel gap too.

Also, is there only one setting parameter for these coilovers? What I mean is that although there is an inherent relationship between height and dampening (for ride quality), are these settings separate? If I wanted the "softer" ride, does that mean I will also be restricted to a "taller" ride?

Thanks for any help.

Check Manaray's sticky post on spring rates. I believe the HKS LS is softer than the Tein CS.

CS rates are pretty darn soft and you can change them for softer ones if you like. They stock the springs while HKS has to order them.
