That is definitely enough LOL. Realistically all you need is only 1mm of distance from the caliper to the spoke. Because the LS calipers are 4piston the outside of the calipers will always be the same and will never move.

no it does not answer my question. i know you only need minimal clearance between spoke and caliper but once again these are on oem calipers and not LS.

ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS HOW MUCH WIDER THE LS CALIPERS ARE VS OEM 2GS CALIPERS!!!

Oh god so you haven't even installed the brakes yet?!! You can't just ask if 20x8.5 +40 will clear a LS caliper. Thats too vague of a question. Some wheels yes and some wheels no. It all depends on how much brake clearance the wheel has. I'm most cases the answer is yes.

The stock GS front calipers stick out about 1.5" past the rotors. The LS front calipers stock out about 2.5" past the rotor. So if you have 0.75-1" you probably cutting really close. I suggest you get your facts right because it can make all the difference. And if they don't fit who cares buy new wheels. Spacers are not bad as long as they are hub-centric.
