IS350 BCRacing Coilovers Review
Hey guys,
I'm still kinda semi-new to the forums, but here's my review on the BCRacing coils. I got them thanks to CircuitMS. Great customer service, a great price for the coils, and quick shipping! If I recall correctly, I got these coils 3-4 days after I ordered - not 100% sure, but they came quick. ^.^
Anyways, I was gonna wait for better weather to snap photos to write this review, but I figured iPhone pictures would be okay for now - sorry. :P
I was aiming for removing all the fender gaps on my 07 IS350. No comments on the install - I had Motorsport Technique in Hayward do the install for me, and I'll be taking the car back for an alignment in say, 1.5-2 weeks.
Handling/Ride comfort/etc:
A huge in the handling department for sure. I felt like the stock sport package suspension for the IS350 handled decently well, but there's always room for improvement.
The second you take a turn with these coils, you immediately notice a huge difference. Body roll is reduced by a mile, and you definitely feel more confident going in and out of turns. I can't lie, when I first got them installed, and was driving over to meet up with a friend, I was taking every turn pretty aggressively - just enjoying the new suspension. Heh.
I set my dampening at 15 clicks, per recommendation of some reviews on these coilovers that other 2IS owners have bought. A bit stiffer than stock, but can easily be a dd setup. I might ramp up the dampening to 18 later, but for now, 15 is just perfect.
In a nutshell, I love these coils. I would highly recommend them, and for their price, you are definitely getting a quality set of coils. Not only that, but I removed the ugly fender gap. The pictures are iPhone quality, so they don't really do my car too much justice. From the side view, I'm tucking a little in the rear, and I have about half a pinky gap in the front. I'll snap some more photos for you guys when the weather isn't so depressing.
Oh, almost forgot! Surprisingly, no rub at all.
Gotta start saving for some wheels now. ;]

LOL. I'm on my phone so I can't post more pictures. I'll get better pictures but it's tucking the rear a bit.
Like I said, it rides just a bit stiffer than stock so it's actually still pretty comfy.
Yeah, the extenders were included when I bought the coils from CircuitMS.

Looks like the lip already met a concrete curb or two already. LOL! Be careful out there.
Anyhow, I love the pics of how it looks cuz I too have a SGM 350 w/ sports pkg and will be one day dropping it lower...along with some rims. Now just add the F-sport sway bars for that added confidence during cornering.
Enjoy!
