Thumbs up My Review on Tein HA

I was skeptical at first about getting the HA because of the Ride comfort factor, but I must admit, the HA are something else. They are indeed the setup that I was looking for. The car handles WAY better and the ride isn't all that bad. To me it is almost like the Bilstein Eibach setup I was running before, maybe just a tad bit stiffer. All the float is gone. I have them set to 6 front and 4 back. The HA's are definately worth the extra money. Bigups to rominl for referring me to a shop that gave me a killer deal on them. It only took them about 1 hour to install them with 3 guys working on it. I already adjust the height in the back because it was too low, and I must say, it was a snap. The car looks a WHOLE lot better and rides better too. I give Tein HA an 'A' all around.

Sweet. Anyone looking for a new kit should also consider the Flex kit and also the CS kit for those which comfort is a priority.

I think it's $1090...

Check www.tein.com...look under model&prices and then click on TOYOTA...NOT Lexus...look for the JZA-80 Supra...those are the ones that go on the SC300/400...

BTW, The FLEX for the Supra/SC are actually almost as stiff as the HA's...dunno why...that's just how it is...

The CS for the Supra/SC will be the softest...but still stiffer than stock...

I must agree with MCGong.. I've had my HA's on for about 2 weeks now and could not be any happier... I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a great suspension... I never rode in a GS that was equipped with FLEX's but I am extremely pleased with what the HA's have to offer... The extra money saved from the FLEX went to an EDFC, which I may not use... my Cusco STB won't clear the motors....

My question is, anyone here have Tein HA with 20 inch rims?? Probably for you guys the ride is alright because you still have some padding on those tires but with 20's its a whole different story. Thats why I am ordering the Apexi World Sport. Not nearly as stiff, well at least that what the numbers show. 8/6 for apexi.

Yeah - I know that my ride will get way worse once I step up and get some 19's or 20's. I have driven with a couple of local bay area guys with 19's who have HA's and the ride seemed fine...

yes, with HA i originally had 8/6 settings, it was HUGE difference between stock 17 and my 19". 17" were very nice but 19" was a bit headache specially in LA. so now i haev 6/5 with my 19"

You should do a quick search of the archives. I recall several threads by those on 20"s, the choice of tire can make a huge difference. Well, at least according to those who know -- I'm only on 18"s.

Question which tein?

so the ha's are just as good as the flex? also does the rmm strutbar clear the electronic dampner controler? i just dont want to buy something and hate it? i dont want to lose any more comfort in my gs. The 20's do not ride as bad as some people would think. but any help would be great. thanks

The HA will be harsher than the Flex. According to RMMGS4, the RMM Front Strut Brace will clear the controller.
