Default Which coilovers to go with?

Hi,

I wanted some feedback from some of our fellow CL experts or from experience which coilovers you recommend and why for a second Gen GS? If you have some feedback on a few different options and why each one? What is a list of good brands to go with?

To give you a little insight it would not be for a daily driver but the car is outside of chicago and having said that it might be exposed to some crappy roads after a winter of snow .... I do not drive this car in the snow or will not either. It is not going to ge raced either.

Any advise would be appreciated. I did searh the GS Sec Gen forums and didn't find any similar threads.

Thanks in Advance

Luxotic- I'm on the same boat as you and also live in Chicago. I been looking at coilovers for quite some time now and leaning towards the BC coils, since there are a lot of satisfied members here with them. One of buddies had Tein Flex on his GS but was too loud and stiff for me. Another guy is getting his Stance coils installed this Spring, I am still waiting to sit in his car for reviews. But for the price and quality of BC coils, I think it's a deal. My car would be my daily but wont be driven in snow or rain. Let me know which setup you go with, but pretty sure I'm leaning towards the BC

I ordered my first set of coil overs from CMS this past week. I went with BC Racing coil over with the extenders.

I'm going to be buying BC's here shortly.

I sell probably 2-4 sets a day through my work and have never heard of anybody having any problems, and I have a number of friends with them on their cars.

And Ive driven my friends IS300 with BC's on it and it rides really nice imo.

If you are looking to grab some shoot me a PM and I can probably get you a pretty good deal on them.

yeah im trying to sell my Tein HA right now to go BC coils as well...Im originally from Chicago and I always drive back at least twice a year...the HA's are good but I think the BC coils has more adjustability and different spring rates will be good for Chicago streets cuz they are vicious!

sorry to thread jack but sine op got his answer already why not :P. what spring rates would you fellas recommend for nyc roads with the bc's, lots of metal panels, jarring imperfections, potholes. for the ny'ers atlantic avenue roads.

softest ive heard of so far is their "custom soft" 8k/6k, any metal grinds/bump noises? etc etc. anyone with detailed feedback of the coils?

currently rolling on eibach & kyb and that alone seems a bit harsh for me now a days.
