Ksport Airtech review
After driving on this setup, I feel I've had enough time to give them a review. Before the review I just want to say thanks to Chris aka excluesive for taking the time to answer all my questions about the kit. He got me a great deal on the air kit.
I purchased the deluxe kit. This is a 4 valve system (front/back adjustment). The difference between the deluxe kit and basic kit is the valves are electric, has electric switches, and an second compressor. The kit also has a remote key fob so you can adjust your height from the outside. Ksport does offer the pro kit which is the same as the deluxe kit except it has auto leveling, height presets, and a more advanced key fob. Ksport's top of the line kit, the pro plus kit is a 8 valve system.
Just for some background, I've owned and driven car on suspension setups such as spring/strut combo, sleeved coilovers/struts and full coilovers. So I feel that I have a broad experience in different suspension setups.
This kit rides absolutely fantastic. Since the struts are 36 way adjustable, the car can ride smooth like stock or stiff like coilovers. The nice thing about the kit is the strut bodies are adjustable. That means your ride height can be at whatever psi you choose. This kit was redesigned specifically for the GS due to the rubbing issues when the kit was first introduced. As you can see in the pictures, the front and rear bags are sleeve type bags. All the valves and electric control module is nicely packed into a box for easy installation.
Since this car is a daily driver and my roads are very very bad, I have the damping 6 clicks up from full soft. It rides a hair stiffer than stock. As you can see, this kit will let your car lay on the ground. The only thing stopping the fronts from going lower is the upper control arm hitting the inner fender. The compressors are not too loud and since there are two of them, it fills the air tank pretty fast.
In conclusion, did I feel this kit was worth it? Yes! Especially for under 3 grand. If I had to do it all over again, I would have opp'd for the pro kit for the auto level feature. If handling is a concern, get the pro plus kit for the 8 valve setup. I hope this review is helpful to anyone who is thinking about getting the Ksport Airtech kit. I've included pics and videos.
