Default LS400 BBK conversion on 99' 2GS..

After countless hours reading the threads, my eyes got overwhelmed with questions and comments that aren't related to the issue.

My question is, what aftermarket rotors would I need in order for this conversion to work? I am thinking EBC cross drilled rotors. What do you guys recommend?

LS400 Calipers
Goodridge SS lines
and PLEASE TELL ME WHAT KIND OF ROTORS ARE NEEDED?

Can I purchase TT rotors or do I have to purchase LS400 aftermarket rotors? Also, what is the largest size possible to run this setup? Thanks in advanced.

You need LS400-sized rotors if you want to go aftermkt. And yes like 5t341th said, you need RCAs up front and most likely, spacers depending on what size wheel you're running.

LS400 caliper
ebc cross dipple cross slotted rotor
ebc redstuff brake pads
goodridge ss lines
front EXACT rca's
tein SS coilovers
5mm spacer to clear my low offset 17x8 +25(hub spaced) winter rims.

just be warned, you may need a 15mm hub spacer to clear some wheels. even if the wheel has "low offset" check to see how that offset was acheived, was it by the location on the drum, or from the hub. even with that said, spoke designs are still the final unknown factor in clearing the calipers.

went with this setup after going on the LS forums and reading what the ls guys are using for brakes.

very nice CLEAN setip. But I want to run larger rotors. Those rotors are so small! The calipers make the rotors small. I have 19x9.5 up front with +22 offset wheels. So I shouldnt have a problem with fitment issues. I just want a bigger rotor and want to know what the "RCA" term means. I dont know the new lingo yet.

-right control arm?
-right caster arm?

the rotor is a standard sized ls400 rotor, i believe its something like 12.85in (forgot the actual size)

rca' means roll center adjuster. it sandwiches between the lower control arm and the lower ball joint, which in turn drops the location of the tie-rod about an inch. the main purpose of the rca's is actually to bring camber back in about 1 degree. the side effect is ur car sits an inch lower, hence why u need coilovers to compensate that drop.

as for pics of the rca's, dont think i have any, but they are the EXACT (ok bad joke since the company is called exact motorsports) same as the ones on their site. there are plenty of other companies that make front rca's

so what if I dont utilize that option using the RCA? I already want my car to be low as possible. but would it affect my suspension components by wearing it out more?

then you need to shave down the tie rod end to clear the caliper.

my contribution...I needed 15mm spacers to avoid rubbing my 19" vs-kf and stock 16" wheels (both not bbk friendly).

I also used SAGE RCAs (30mm) instead of shaving/grinding the LS400 caliper or the tie rod end...
