Thats pretty cheap. Decent coilover usually run around $1300 and up. D2 I guess you can say are a little more on the economical end since they are made in Taiwan, they are made in the same factory as K-sport suspension. I'm sure if you searched you will find the answeres you're looking for. I personally don't like D2 or K-sports based on quality. but I would say if you want a decent coilover that is a good bang for the buck and wont break the bank then I would pick Stance GR+ Plus coilovers

I wouldn't say that the D2 Racing coilover is of poor quality. It's how you set them up and the valving makes a big difference. I'm willing to put my setup up against all the HKS and higher end 2 way adjustable coilover setup on a track anyday.

Well I didn't say poor quality, but they are nowhere near the standards of many Japanese brands like Tein, RS*R, HKS. I used to work in a shop where we sold many coilovers and performance parts and one thing I noticed is that many of the K-sports and D2 end up blown or leak oil after 6 months to a year. I stand by my statement and think Stance is still the best bang for the buck

I've actually used D2 coilovers on a couple of cars. I had Tein CS's on my GS and even though I loved the Tein's I think i should've just stuck to D2's. Installed them in an LS400 and the ride is awesome. Get the D2's, and btw thats a great price.

You'd be better off with Megans or BC Racing.

The D2 and Ksport coilovers have a track record of lower quality damping and parts.

From my experience once you try the high-end you'll never want to go back to cheap stuff.
D2 runs a little stiff had it on civics, nismo 370z, altima. I tried Stance on my wrx worst ride ever. sold those asap and bought KW variant 3 and fell in love... you can feel the difference on ever setting on the coilover. all the 36 way adjustment on these taiwan coilover is non-sense... can you actually feel all 36 adjustment? only decent taiwan coilover i recommend is BC. Heard good things about megan's but i never tried them out. Good luck on deciding...

i just got a set of d2s for my GS. they ride pretty good. im pretty much set up at just about the lowest damper setting because i dont like it too stiff. the spring rates could be just a little more conservative but the damper adjustments help. the only thing i dont like about them is that, the place i bought mine from (a d2 dealer local) said they were 4.5 inch height adjustable front and rear but I can barely get the front fender to touch the top of my 225/35/20 tire. im pretty disappointed as I want to ride low but hey, you get what you paid for. I would have rather gone with the Megans to be honest. Now im saving for a quality set of coils.

just a little update. the guys at D2 said they could make me a lower shock housing at a shorter size so i figured, why pay 80 bucks for those when i can cut mine. I took a pipe cutter and cut about an inch and half in the front off and now i can lay the frame to the ground. D2 agreed that this will not cause damage. Now im pretty satisfied with the coils.

I purchased a 2001 IS 300 and it came with the D2 suspension coilovers. I would not recommend them. My rear has recently started bottoming out. I took it to a shop yesterday and they stated that the rear struts were busted. I contacted D2 and they have replacement struts for $130 a piece. This product ranges from $1000 and up. I do not drive my vehicle harsh and it was fine when i purchased the vehicle in 2011. If i had the choice i would have choose Tein suspension. I had Tein suspension on my Dodge Neon SRT-4 and i only had the springs and they felt awesome.
