I can't say I'm really a expect at this so i was wondering if some of the pro's can chime in. It seems like coilover rebuild times vary a lot based off brand and driving style, so I was wondering if theres some tips on how to tell if your coils are due for a rebuild. I run tanabe sustec 5's and am around 20k miles on them, but I think this can help a lot of people in the future, even guys that run other brands of coils. Thanks for your inputs

Well for the tanabe owners out there
"Our Coilover dampeners use sealed units from KYB so they can not be opened up and rebuilt. We can sell you replacement dampeners or you can order them through your local Tanabe dealer. We feel this is the best way to reduce mistakes when unauthorized dealers try to open up our products to try and rebuild them"

Clunking, push down on all 4 corners and see if they all rebound the same. Also if you adjust damping and no longer notice a difference from softest to hardest thats a good sign its time for a rebuild.
