ideas on caliper's color
i have a blue gs400, and i am thinking about painting my calipers some time soon. what colors would be good? red itself is good but would look very weird on my car? blue probably would make my car too ricey? silver? black? @_@

Well, remember they have several shades of silver out. They even have an alloy color last time I went looking for high temp paint. My thought is also doing black too. That's what I did and I have a silver car. Black goes with anything. Good luck.

Blue, Black or Silver
I'd go blue, black or silver...HOTLEX400 has blue on his blue GS and it looks good. Red is a little too much and let's face it they aren't Brembos and it's not a Porsche or Ferrari. I have Black on my GS, but I tossed the idea of silver around as well. I think blue, as long as it's dark enough will not look ricey. Check out some pics from the NY Meet this past weekend and you'll see HOTLEX400's blue, and my black calipers.

ya but RED looks sporty and matchs our cars nice, I even saw a Silver GS with red calipers when I was at the lights and it looks very nice, stood out alot, they dont have to be a specific name brand to be a certain color, lots of people change the color so it looks nicer then stock, not so that they can fool people to think that those are the brakes that are on ferarri's or porches

rominl,
Paint the calipers silver and put the "L" and the "lexus" stickers in blue on them and clearcoat over it all. IMO, that'll look hot! jbb's also looks great but take it a step further and put silver stickers on them.

IMO, red looks the best. Yeah, its a little overplayed and all cars use red, but Yellow dont match with blue very well, and while black may look good too, it doesnt stick out as much.

yea. i need the stickers...but i have to repaint my calipers...waiting for SS brake lines first.......... Then silver stickers..
I wanted something that didn't stick out too much and not silver cuz of brake dust build up (big ploblem with yellow)
I didn't care for yellow also cuz that was too ricey. don't stare at my brakes....stare at the wheels..or the driver..depending who's looking.........
People really notice brakes.... my 12 yr old nephew noticed them b4 his car junkie father.
I only did the brakes to get rid of that green nasty caliper color and the rust spotted rotors! BLue gives a good contrast matching the color. I really like every color coded. Wish i could remove all these chrome strips off the car! Let me know if you want a close up or better pixel pictures. The blue matches the car color. By VHT Caliper Paint in BRIGHT BLUE
