My Ride Height > Yours v.epicfail
Last night I was leaving the LA Auto Show when I hit a big dip on the freeway then I heard a PSHHH sound. I looked at my digital gauges and I saw that one corner was losing air quick. I pulled to the side of the road when I realized I blew one of my bags. Since my tires touch the fenders when the car is aired out I couldn't roll the car without a lot of rubbing I couldn't just drive it home. I couldn't get the car towed without breaking anything so I waited until my friend Vinh came to my rescue with some wood planks and tools at around midnight. I was stranded in the ghetto of Long Beach for a few hours.
We built a ramp out of a bunch of wood planks and 2x4's since the car couldn't be lifted up and the bumper was really low. We got it high enough to get the scissor jack underneath to change the wheel out to my stock wheel. Luckily I had a spacer to clear the LS400 brakes. I removed the front bumper and put it in my backseat, hanging out the window. I tried driving down the street on nothing but the shock and the stock wheel didn't rub unless I made a u-turn. Lastly, the splash guard was touching the ground so I had to find something to tie it up. I found a lanyard from AutoFashion that I got from one of the meets and I used that. I eventually made it home driving at 0psi on one corner with no front bumper after 20+ miles.
Wood ramps
Luckily it wasn't raining.
As it sits right now
Ride height all the way home
Shout out to AutoFashion
People were staring the whole way home because the car was so low with a bumper hanging out the window.
Vinh is my hero.

happen to me once before, no problem with the bags but the fuse for the compressor pop. when you press up on the switch it made the car go even lower since the pressure flow back to the tank. all 4 corners is full slam, cops came by since it is on the side of the freeway. i explain to them my help is on its way with a replacement fuse but they want the car out of the freeway. if the tow truck come before my friend they will tow it.
so i went ahead and drove it off the freeway to the next exit. every bump is riding the upper control arm and i can hear the struts bottoming out

A CHP officer actually told me to get off the freeway too so they put on their lights and escorted me off the next exit. I scraped a lot of stuff on the way out. Yeah every bump was fun with the upper control arms and the struts bottoming out. Good thing I have new shocks coming in the mail and I have some extra bags at home.

i seen pics of his car rolling, according to him he rides low and even he said he scrape daily. his ride height is probably not much different than 0 psi, the kit actually doesn't touch the ground if is not moving, so probably not much lower than what he already is. plus he put back on the stocks which is raise the car back up slighty at that corner if it is stock size.

This is crazy...glad to see that everything turned out OK though. If it was my car I would be so pissed (I couldn't deal with that) that I would probably remove the air suspension out of frustration so that would never happen again. It's a real PITA sometimes to have a modded car.
Suppose you didn't have someone come down to help you out at 12 midnight and you were in a heavily gang-ridden area. While being stranded you could have had some MAJOR issues with people coming up to you with weapons demanding your car and threatening to kill you. It could have been MUCH MUCH worse. You're actually lucky how it all turned out.
