Default Toms Advoxx coilover rebuild?

I think that my front driver side coiolover is blown, where ever going over a bump and such slowly I would hear like a knocking sound from the front wheel are.

I looked under there and saw the piston had some oil buildup towards the top hat. In my past experience these are signs of blown/ leaking shocks.

I know with Teins I can take it down here to them locally in Cerritos, but where would I take these to get rebuilt. Can any shop rebuild it?

from what i know, coilover shocks are usally shipped to the manufacture. im not sure if TOMS is in the US. you can try to see if JIC magic or Teins would take it. GL!

Yeah I am not sure but I don't think they are in the US. I will definately try and see if JIC or Teins will accept it, I hope they will

just in case....i also tried the local TOM's dealer at Malaysia...according to them if the shocks are leaking, they would have to send it back to Japan...prior to that i also called the local Tein service center and they also told me that it had to be sent back to Japan as they only have the tools for Tein... and alternative would to send to a local suspension shop to service them but the internals replaced would no longer be TOM's though...

btw mine wasn't leaking was just curious so i called Tom's and Tein up

I emailed TOM's the other day, they prefer to ship out rebuilt ones they have in stock in exchange for yours....from Japan. The cost? $1800. No thanks.
