You typically do your measurements and then take off the wheels to adjust.

As for recommendations, it will depend on what you want on the comfort/performance spectrum and how much you want to spend.

search is your friend. typically search either of the following:
coilover
tein
tein+flex
coilover+adjust

regarding adjustments, in a nutshell, jack car up, remove wheel, use the (2) coilover wrenches to adjust accordingly. typically, lowering is much easier than raising when adjusting. GL!

like they said. take off the wheels and adjust the coilover.
hardest part of it all is adjusting to your liking.
if you look it up, i wrote a DIY to install some coils
DG5 has coilovers made for the 2gs. altho i never seen em on a GS, on other cars, they are great.

Well, this is now an issue with any kind of work/maintenance on the car that needs the car lifted. If you lower it too far, most shops will not work with your car. You will need to deal with most things yourself. You will need a DIY ramp like the one GSTeg posted.

You can even build the ramp with slightly thinner wood. You mainly want to get the car high enough you you can get a jack and finally jack stands underneath the car.

There is no exact measurements. People build them accordingly to what they think is best. Sometimes it's trial and error. It doesn't need to be exact either. As long as you can roll your car down safely, then that's all that matters.

Good info here.

You should look into some BCR coilovers. Less expensive than Tein but just as good if not better
