Quick question...

Do you think its worth it to upgrade to the 03-05 arms if I have a 2002?

Or just get the daizen kit and call it done?

and 2: if my lower ball joints aren't worn, no need to replace, right?

That (i also have an 02) and are the bushings in those same quality? I only ask because its cheaper than just the labor to install the Daizens lol. Also will the ball joints I got from Sewell (still in the box)for an 02 work with these 03-05 arms?
Thanks you guys are life savers for the nooblets!

with the 00-01 differences i am cannot say as i was sure it read that on the tm site but it seems i may be wrong then in what i remembered.
You can always take a look at the bar and see if it is thick or thin as it is easily seen from behind the wheel when you turn it full lock.

01-05 parts are all the same no changes .

What about that whole TRD equivalent bushings in 03-05 that Coco was talking about?

I think the answer is no. 01-05 has same arm. 03-05 has TRD bushing?

so 01-03 with daizen = 03-05 arm and TRD bushing

This is a good thread! I'll be ordering the bushing set soon..

SK, how did you press out/in your bushings? Did you just cut/burn out like I know some other people had DIY'ed it (not on this forum, but I've seen others do it this way, instead of bothering to press them out.)

I would not recommend burning them out considering you have to heat up the metal around it to a fairly high temperature also. If you don't have a press, I'd take the entire arm to a machine shop.

so let me get this straight: the diazen control arm kit comes with the upper & lower control arm bushings and the caster am bushings?

I'm only looking to change the caster arm bushings for now, just to see what difference they make. i'm having the wondering and 55-70 vibes that have gotten progressively worse lately.

Don't forget Ball joints also, SK mentioned changing those as well when doing the caster arms..
