Coilovers for IS250/350 fit on IS300 (asia/dubai version)-NEED HELP
Guys,
My problem is driving me crazy! I already decided on what wheels to order for my car IS300 (asia/dubai version) but i can't seem to find coilovers specifically for my car.
I've email different suspension companies and all of them can't assure me if it will fit or not. I asked my local Lexus dealer (Philippines), they told me that the part number are different from IS250/350 one. I'm guessing it's different because of the spring rate but i'm not sure.
Are the IS250 suspension parts specifically coilovers the same as IS350 one? Do they have the same shock mounting, hubs etc?
I talked to a fellow cl member ndk83 from China, he told me he was using tein s.tech (springs only) from is250 on his car is300. I think China and Philippine units are the same - is300. He told me that a buddy of his has tein cst for is350 on his is300 and a local toms china dealer has toms advox on his is300. He also told me as far as he remembers the is300 and is350 shares the same part numbers but i really can't confirm this.
Anyone know if Tein coilovers (SS one) will fit on my car? Do you guys suggest i just get the coilovers for IS350? Even Tein japan can't answer my question, they don't want to assure me if it will fit and they don't want to be liable if it don't. I really need to buy coilovers to get the stance i need for the 20's wheel. I hope you can help me on this so i can purchase the wheels already. Thanks a lot!

Another question: does the IS250 shock mounts, hubs etc the same for the IS350 one??? someone told me that the rear is different. but from Tein Website: the part number of the Tein SS for the IS250 and IS350 are the same - DSL90-KUSS2. So i'm guessing it's the same? Thanks in advance

kbh; the coilovers the guys here are using can fit our 2IS models..we have standard and luxury models right? im not sure how to imply it with is250 or 350 but basically the body is still the same. im getting tein for my 2IS but still deciding on getting H. tech springs or CS coils..

i mean the coils the CL guys here are using should be compatible with our 2IS. Few of those who own 2IS in my country here installed Tein already so it is compatible with our 2IS model.

i know that the springs will fit but i never talked to anyone with is300 on coils...
the ones you saw in your country, did they put in coilovers or just lowering springs? i'm thinking of buying stock shocks of is250 just to be sure.

our 2IS can use the Tein springs with stock OEM shocks..im planning to get the Tein High Tech springs with stock shocks, and when i have the budget i'll get Tein CS. I referred to the Tein distributor here and they said the Tein springs or coils can fit our 2IS model.

As for ur setup;if u get the TEIN SS IS350 coilovers for your is300 you wont have a problem!!!!!
If KAttanH3 doesnt respond ill ask the TOMS dealer which one (250vs350) he has put on his car ( It really doesnt matter cause both will fit, but since our car is heavier than an IS250 its better to go the IS350 ones)
oh and the 300 and 350 have different suspension part numbers.
