BBK Suggestion Rotora Or Supra/LS400
Hey guys, I need some suggestion for my brake here... I'm going to upgrade my brake soon, I'm either going to upgrade to
1.) Rotora front brake BBK for $950
with 355mm rotors, rotora pads, and ss lines or
2.) LS400 Front brake upgrade AND Supra rear brake upgrade for 800
My main question is, is the rotora bbk worth the extra cash?
I know the rotora kit retails for around 2k and right now its a great deal so I need some people to give me suggestion...
Also will the stock 16" wheels + spacers fit for the bbk calipers to clear?
Thanks guys!!

I would definitely recommend the LS400 brakes and supra rear combo. I got a 1JZ swapped SC and I only have the LS400 brakes up front and they are good enough for me. Unless you're an avid drifter/circuit racer, you don't really need Rotora. I don't think the stock 16" wheels will clear it w/out some pretty thick spacers.

depends on your driving style...if for daily driving, I'd be hard-pressed to find any braking system better than the combo. IMO I'd rather get a TT fronts and rears because they're easier to install and have a greater pad/rotor choice

You need at least a 17 inch wheel to fit a 330mm or 12.9 inch sized rotor.
If you want to go for aethetics and you have the extra cash, I say go for the Rotora set. Replacement parts are more money since you have a 2 piece rotor, and also performance pads. Maintenance on BBK's will be substantially more expensive when compared to OEM parts. Not only for looks, Rotoras 2 piece rotor will save some weight savings over 1 pc rotors. Unsprung weight will make a difference in performance.
For overall braking performance, I would go for the SUPRA TT front and rear setup. This is one of the best production brakes ever made! With the right pad and rotors, I'm sure it'll out perform the Rotora setup anyday on the track. If you autoX or track your car, SUPRA setup is the best amongest the group because of its balanced braking, oversized rotors, and a excellent selection of pads.
LS400 brakes are good but lacks performance and pad/rotor selection but still an upgrade over stock brakes.
