Default Coilovers [What is currently best on the market?]

I did a search on coilovers and have read countless threads on them and I still feel like im just touching the tip of the iceberg b/c I am completely ignorant when it come to suspension etc. From what I gathered from teh threads to seems if I'm looking for comfort and GS430 to be lowered moderately I should go with either Bilstein PSS or TEIN CS. I wanted to get opinions pros/cons or other options for coilovers. Thanks for any input.

There are so many different set up's, this is a really hard topic to just come out and say "This is the best."

Everyone has their preference. What are -you- going for? Yes, most 2GS owners go for comfort while being lowered, but if that's not what you want, you may want to look in another direction. Some brands are: JIC Magic, Zeal, TEIN, SAGE, Megan Racing, Tanabe, HKS, and I'm sure there's some others I forgot.

I've personally used the TEIN CS set up before and I loved it. No issues, but there will be mixed reviews. I recently purchased the Zeal coilover set up as recommended to me by a friend, still waiting on them.

So. Just decide what you want your suspension to do, and feel like, then start looking into brands. Sorry if I'm not much help, I'm not much of a suspension guru myself. Good luck though! ((Search function is your best friend))

Few things I considered.

Spring rate
full tap or just sleeve?
adjustable shocks?
rubber or pillow ball upper mount?
rebuildable?
who actually makes them? do they have their own factory?

If you have the means to do so, call up Aragosta and tell them what you want

Im biased to SAGE ...thats what i have now...plus, they work with my Tein EDFC.

Rides like Tein CS...spring rate is 12 / 8 (f/r).

I am staying away from Tein coilovers...mines blew...and oil was leaking.

I purchased the Zeal's from an old Club Lexus Vendor. List price is around 2200-2300, I got it for a bit of a cheaper price since he was helping me out and I made a very large order from him. I believe from date of purchase, they take around 2-3 months to manufacture? I'm not too sure lol.

Not sure where you can purchase them though anymore, perhaps their website? Good luck.
