300 ft lbs of torque wasn't enough
So I tried to install my new springs today. Started at 4:00 and did a quick oil change and changed a burnt out city light. Then on to the nut and bolt holding on the shock, turns out to be a 19mm and a 17mm, huh, learn something new everyday. Well get the wrench and rachet out and pull the crap out of it...nothing, breaker bar time... nothing. So I decide its the 12 point socket that's the problem so I go to Sears to get a 6 point impact socket so I can really get down on it. Well I get there and decide I need a 17 gallon compressor, air impact wrench, driver, and air hammer (tools will eventually bankrupt me). So back to it. I got 300 ft. lbs. of torque and 100 psi... nothing. Seriously, WTF? What did I miss? WD 40, check. Busted knuckles, check. $450 in new air tools, check. Someone help, I'm a DIY guy and this is really chappin' my a$$. I did the sway bars, springs, bodykit, light bake and paint, etc. on my Subaru, does Lexus just hate me?

i broke a few tools taking the LHS bolt of the bottom, ended up getting an impact socket, and a 1/2" drive on the end of 24" breaker bar that did the job in the end,i even went as far as removing the brake set-up (was easy as i changed brakes/discs only 200miles ago)

I forgot witch side had locking teeth on it..the bolt or the nut. Did you try taking it off from both sides or just one? Cause if you're trying to take it off from the side that has the locking teeth then it's gonna be harder..

Something is seriously wrong. It really shouldn't be that hard. I'm 5'4" about 140 lbs, not weak by any means, but not a strong man either. I had no trouble taking off all my suspension bolts with nothing more than my 14-16" breaker bar. Sometimes the angles are a little tricky to get leverage and in those cases I just used a pipe extension (The handle from my floor jack) and that is more than enough. When I did have my air tank at my other house, I had no trouble removing anything using the impact wrench/gun.
