AP racing gs430 bbk
First off i'm new, sadly dont have a lexus yet and tried to search so if i messed up dont hate me .
A guy who works across the street from me has a awesome gs430 clean, nice wheels, and a bbk. Hes in no hurry to sell and i'm not in one to buy but this might be hard to pass up.
ANYWAYS i wanted to see how much the replacement rotors would be for the kit. When I checked AP racing site / searched it the only Lexus kit was for an is300. Have they stopped making the kit for the 430?... if so could anyone direct me to where I might be able to purchase new ones?

The rotor PNs would be the same as that for a Supra TT BBK replacement rotor.
You just need to look up the correct rotor diameter as there were two sizes offered last I checked.
Not going to be cheap for sure.
You can look up rotor pricing by contacting stillen.com
I'll be selling my original AP Racing front caliper, rotors and brand new pads soon. I bought a complete replacement front set when I went to the 4 corner set up.

yeah this is def going to affect the price i'm willing to pay. Sucks coming from hondas with $50 rotors lol. Then again i know you have to pay to play. I remember reading somewhere that it was almost $400 per corner? Is that close to a realistic number i'd be looking to pay? His calipers also look different than the ones i've seen, they are black with yellow writing i beleive.

hahah 1sick was selling the rotors i sold him
yeah a new set of rotors aren't cheap. you get the rotors only, and you need to swap the hat to the new rotors. which means you SHOULD get all new bolts too as standard practice. i can't remember how much i paid, for for new rotors and bolts, i think it was around 350 to 400 a corner as mentioned.
imho, make sure you get the street pads, or better yet, dont use the pigid pads that come with teh brakes but change to hawk hps instead. pigids pads are very aggressive on the rotors, so you wear out pads and rotors fast. hawk is a lot more gentle on the rotors
btw, pads can also be a "concern". a set of hawk i think was around 200 bucks, and a set of pigids was around 300. this is nothing like the 50 bucks you spend on normal pads

ah yeah your before picture looks just like his rears. I'd ask the guy this info but he car was originally his nephews... I said "nice big brake kit" and he didnt really have an idea what i was talking about.
I need to have a better look at his rotors beceause i'm not paying 12k for a car (id make him go down anyways) that needs anywhere from $800 to $2000 in brakes. O well he wont sell until june so I have a ways to go. I just wanted to get all my facts straight before I dove into something and regreted it.
I do appreciate your guys help, cleared a lot of things up for me.

12k isn't bad if the brakes don't need to be replaced and i don't have to do the ball joints / timing belt.
The car has 120k as well. I just don't want the car to end up being 16k-17k instead of 12. But i do like the fact that you guys think its a good deal makes me feel a little better about it lol.
