Default ABS + TRAC Finaly removed! *pics*(56K put the gun down)

Well i guess if i'm not mistaking i'm the first one to remove these components.

Here are the finnished pics.

2 tees from corolla (with nuts)

one would go to the front wheel, and the other to the back (sherlock lol)

Heres the sherlock scematics (original and finnished)

Sorry I didnt take pics in the process because i had no time, and was running to Autozone for the brake lines 5 times a day.

Here are the finnished pics.I wish i had mmore time, i could have done a better job

Holy snaps! Why did you get rid of ABS though? Is it possible to get rid of trac without losing ABS.

I will say it looks a lot cleaner now!

Ok heres the story.I changed both front bearings and i broke the abs sensors on both spindles......and i'l be shot if i spend $300 on the sensors knowing the back ones will need to be replaced soon.

My car is a 92 sc300 and i'm trying to make it simple to prevent future problems. So far i removed the dead AC/ABS/Track /EGR and relocated the battery in the back(more room to work on the engine)

BTW might not be possible to remove one without the other, because they are running into eachother. If it is possible, it would be brain surgery to me,lol.

My future plans are ellectric fan(push),and the intake.

I've never heard of taking a deductionary approach to 'modding' like this, but I like it. That's what I call thinking outside of the box..

So is there some freed-up horsepower with this or something; similar to removing the A/C?
If so, how much?
I heard that on the Supra's (MKIV) if you disable the TRAC system, it deletes the governor and you can hit 180MPH stock
(or whatever the engines true potential is...) Anything similar in our case?
Also.. What happens to your braking if you don't have ABS?

Well i dont think you will gain anything but 35lbs ,other than that it simplifies the braking system and engine bay.

I think the pedal is a lot sensitive ,and you can actualy control the brakes better.

Although its not advised by MANY to remove the ABS, i love it ! But i do keep distance on wet pavement just in case

I would love to dump the entire ABS/TRAC system from my engine bay. It is the biggest cluster ***** on each side of the bay, especially around the master cylinder. It takes so much away from the engine.

I've driven so many years in cars without ABS, it wouldn't be missed, especially here in AZ.

Its from 93-96 corollas and maybe higher, there are plenty of them in the junk yards. But beware , flaring lines with a cheap double flare tool will result in leaks. Its better to go and buy the 3/16" metric lines from Autozone, they are the only stores that carry metric nuts.(already flared)

i still need to do this. i dont have TRAC since im 5spd but my ABS took a poop on me about 2 years ago. i just pulled the abs relays and fuses and its perfect now. i have driven my car through 2 winters in chicago without ABS....AND im on a welded diff

its all about how you drive. modern abs systems can make you stop faster no matter how good of a driver you are. an old abs system like on the SC is not that good.

the trac on our cars is even more pathetic....
