Unhappy steering problem=( help anyone?

well i recently bought my sc300 5spd. in june. the power steering pump was "rebuilt" in maybe some part of early august. the steering felt great, then one day i took a turn at about 30 or 35, i stuck to the ground like hell but ever since then, the steering tightned up on right handed turns. the problem eventually went away, and today...i noticed it makes a "gyarrr" sound on right handed turns only. i did a little test and was doing an easy 25 and steered back and forth on my street, the noise just sounded like ****. i put in power steering fluid and it is smoother, but it sounds really strange. and i kinda feel the sound in the steeringwheel... im scared, tell me its nothing serious

yea it sounds like something serious. If the PS pump was rebuilt at one point then the steering rack will probably be the next to fail...unless the PS pump wasn't properly rebuilt. Check all the lines for any leaks in it as it could cause fluid to drop abnormally.

When you re-filled the PS fluid did you put in power steering fluid or did you put in the recommended ATF fluid that our power steering system like to use? If off the shelf PS fluid was used it could have been the cause of the steering rack to bum out.

Have you checked your wheels bearings and when was your last complete power steering flush?

Sorry for dumb question here, did you bleed the system thoroghly when you changed the pump? The PS system does groan badly when it's low on fluid and is under a load.
