FYI

My IS is at the dealer having one of the rear F-Sport struts replaced since it was leaking. The rear was really banging over rough roads. It sounded like someone was trapped in the trunk and they were banging to be let out.

They did order a new spring to go with it. Now I'm worried about the other side?

Why would you be worry about the other side?

They replaced the left rear strut and both rear springs. What an amazing difference. The car rides much better now with no more thumps over uneven pavement. This is the best ride quality I have experienced since I put in the F-Sports. I think the new springs made all of the difference.

Another good report VB. They probably replaced springs with revised rear springs (TSIB for noise). Glad you got rear shock replaced.

Another thing that made a noticable improvement with the F-Sport setup was moving to the Michelin PS A/S tires. You take a small hit in MPG for a quieter and smoother ride.

Good thred! I have an AWD on 19's and it sits way too high. I don't want to slam it. Thinking about springs on stock shocks. H&R or F-Sport? Any other brands to consider and will I experience rubbing or vibrations?

If you want to go conservative, you can get the f-sport shock and springs, but they drop less than an inch.
