Default Noobie to struts/shocks...

I just got my car looked at by lexus and they said I need my struts/shocks replaced. I got my car lowered on H&R springs it's about a 1.2 in the front and 1.4 in the back I belive and have '20s. I was wondering if changing struts/shocks will lower my car even more (heard it from somewhere)? I've been looking at the blistein sport strut/shocks...I want a sporty look and drive but than smooth and comfortable...What do you think I should get w/o breaking the bank and keeping my springs...

New shocks will not lower your car. The shocks are there for dampening. They dont really support the weight of the car. That's the spring's job. So if you change shocks, you will not be sitting any lower.

However, there are shocks out there that will allow you to sit lower/higher and that depends on where the perches are located. most aftermarket shocks like KYB GR2s offers oem design. Koni and certain other brands have up to 3 different perches for the shock.
